Terms & Conditions

Skybase (paragliding companion app) · Last updated: July 13, 2026

Skybase is provided by an independent developer operating as GetLostAdv. By using the app you agree to these terms.

Safety — decision support, not authoritative

Skybase is an aid, never a clearance. Every weather score, flyability window, thermal estimate, wind reading, airspace warning, glide calculation, and cross-country figure is an estimate for informational purposes only. Paragliding is a hazardous activity. Always make your own independent go/no-go decision, carry current official charts, and follow the guidance of your local site and instructors. You are solely responsible for your own safety.

Safety-alert features are best-effort

The overdue / SOS alert features depend on your phone, mobile signal, GPS, third-party networks, and cloud infrastructure, any of which can fail. They are provided on a best-effort basis with no guarantee of delivery, and must never be relied upon as your only safety plan. Always tell a real person your flying plans.

SMS program

If you enable the automatic overdue alert, an automated SMS may be sent to the emergency contact you designate when you are overdue from a flight. Message frequency is very low (typically a few per year). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy for how phone numbers are handled.

Your data

Your data is stored on your device and is yours; you can export it at any time. See the Privacy Policy.

One-person operation; no warranty

Skybase is built and run by a single developer on small-scale infrastructure with no uptime guarantee and no support team. The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damages arising from use of the app.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
